We will be meeting at De Paul's CTI loop campus around 1 pm, then off to City Hall .9 miles away. If you are interested in attending, please email me @ [address removed] What: The Chicago Mayor's Office launched a public/private sector initiative to help build healthy communities across the City. The initiative intends to bring Chicagoans together in order to make connections between communities and resources that can help. The public face for this initiative will be a very visible, user-generated Website, which will be built by the Chicago-based non-profit Green Street Project in collaboration with Chicago's technology community. The initiative will hold a special briefing at City Hall for technology leaders, experts, executives and corporations interested in participating as advisors, partners, and sponsors. Initiative Leadership: The Mayor's Executive Assistant and Community Liaison, Sean Harden, chairs the commission that oversees this initiative, and Green Street Project serves as the fiscal agent and project lead. Who Should Attend Briefing: Technology executives and experts, web developers, programmers, equipment vendors, systems integrators, and hosting companies Agenda: Attendees will 1) receive an executive briefing of the Community Building Initiative and its planned Website; 2) engage in a facilitated feedback session to ensure the initiative listens to the perspective of the technology community; and 3) discuss specific ways for technology experts and companies to help build the site and its infrastructure. Please note that this public/private sector initiative seeks technology advisors, collaborative partnerships, and in-kind sponsors. This is not a request for fee-for-service bids.
