Welcome to the Flourish 2009 Open Source Conference site! Our goal is to promote the use of open source and provide a gathering place for open source enthusiasts in the Chicagoland area. This will be our third Flourish Conference, and although times are tough, this year we're working even harder to make this conference the best one yet!
The goal of the Flourish Conference is to promote the use and adoption of Free Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS) by demonstrating the practical applications of FLOSS in the business and academic world. While everyone is familiar with businesses that focus on creating non-free proprietary software, the same cannot be said for those who specialize in developing and supporting FLOSS software and Open Culture. Attendees of Flourish have an opportunity to see how using, creating and supporting FLOSS software can enhance their careers, businesses and academic aspirations.
CDMUG/Drupal has a table setup. We have various members who have volunteered to hang out and answer all questions Drupal. Come by and say Hi. Regardless of Drupal, this is a great event. Not to mention it is a great way to network, awesome presentations, and free food :)
Saturday there will be a networking after party at the Innovation Center. This is same location we had Drupal Camp Chicago. Hopefully a few of us can get together once again and have a beer?
