Tomorrow will be the first meeting to start planning Drupal Camp Chicago. We are aiming for the event to be similar to last year and take place in October.
We would love to hear from the Chicago Drupal community about thoughts and ideas for the event. Even if you are not able to attend tomorrow. Please respond to this email with your ideas. We truly appreciate your feedback.
Did you attend Drupal Camp Chicago 2008? Do you plan to attend Drupal Camp Chicago 2009?
What did you enjoy about last years event? What can we improve on? What are you looking for in a large Drupal event taking place in Chicago?
How should we setup presentation sessions? Should we allow anyone to propose a session? Should we setup a voting system similar to Drupalcon sessions? Should we hand pick specific people to present specific topics?
Is your company interested in participating or sponsoring the event?
Are you interested in volunteering? Can you help setup and/or clean up? Can you help people arrive, check in, or hand out a tshirt?
New members who are not familiar with Drupal Camp Chicago.........Last year CDMUG organized the first annual Drupal Camp Chicago at UIC's Innovation Center. Friday October 24th and Saturday October 25th about 200 people came together to learn, educate, and celebrate Drupal. Registration fee was only $20 and we attracted members of the Drupal community from all over the country.
