PHP/MySQL Senior Developer Opportunity

Description
The Well, Inc. http://www.thewellinc.com, is an emerging-media, boutique ad agency located in River North. They are looking for a unique individual to fill the position of Senior Web Developer with a focus on PHP/MySQL.

As a member of a small multi-disciplinary team, you will plan, design and develop scalable, flexible websites, from Micro-sites to large e-commerce sites for our clients. Some of our recent projects included a large e-commerce site, a social networking site, and other emerging technologies.

As Senior Web Developer, your goal will be to create outstanding solutions that produce tangible business results for our clients. We are looking for someone who can manage people and projects, but who also will enjoy a significant amount of hands-on development along with all the technical aspects of building websites.

If you are a skilled PHP/MySQL master with exceptional front-end chops, and an eye to detail and experience in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, get in touch with us.

Qualifications

• 5+ years web development experience with proven ability to deliver exceptional work under time constraints. Ability to show samples is a must!
• Expert-level knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JS, CSS/XHTML,AJAX and cross-platform/browser compatibility issues.
• Experience with web 2.0 APIs (Prototype, Scriptulous, YUI, etc.) is also necessary.
• Comfortable with some server management (Linux, Apache, MySQL)
• Solid communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage and participate in projects from requirements gathering through implementation and QA.
• Results driven, attention to detail and follow through
• Excited by the opportunities and challenges of working in a small team.

Pluses

• Interest in social networking, user-generated content, and other emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with new development frameworks such as Rails, and Django.
