Hi,
It was a very small but very interesting first Meetup. 3 other people came. Ben M. talked to us about the Boston Drupal Group meeting that he attended the night before. There were 9 speakers total, his takeaway notes to us were 2 new modules, Boost and Drush.
Boost makes Drupal faster by optimizing content for anonymous users, more than the existing Drupal cache option.
Drush is an installer that will check for and install dependencies. This is like PHP/PEAR and Perl/CPAN.
Since there is already a Boston Drupal Group, I am considering whether I should end this meetup and refer members to the Boston Drupal Group. They have more members and more advanced members.
